Episode 1: They Never Gave Us the Book. This Is It.

You followed the rules, cared for your patients, and tried to do everything right—yet no one explained how easily good providers can end up under scrutiny. Listen to this episode of The Real-World Provider to learn what nursing school never covered and what you need to know before it’s too late.

Episode 2: This Is How Investigations Really Start

You’ll learn how complaints really trigger reviews, why intent doesn’t protect your license, how small documentation and workflow gaps quietly build risk, and why charts that “look fine” inside a clinic can raise red flags the moment someone outside your practice reads them.

Episode 3: The Mistakes You Don’t Know You’re Making

Most providers believe mistakes are obvious.

They believe mistakes look like negligence, recklessness, or clear violations of policy. They believe that if something were truly wrong, it would feel wrong. That belief is comforting—and it’s exactly what makes these mistakes so dangerous.

Meet Danni D. Owens, FNP

Founder of Slimming Grace Academy

......

I’m Danni Owens, a Family Nurse Practitioner, entrepreneur, and educator who has walked the same road so many providers and patients are on today. I started Slimming Grace with just $500 and a vision: to create a place where people could find real answers, safe solutions, and compassionate care. Along the way, I discovered how overwhelming the healthcare world can be...for patients trying to understand their own health and for providers trying to protect their licenses, grow their practices, and do the right thing in a system that doesn’t make it easy.

That’s why I built Slimming Grace Academy: to give providers the tools, training, and confidence to thrive in practice. My mission is simple: to empower providers with knowledge, because knowledge is protection, and knowledge is freedom.

I know firsthand how it feels to fight through confusion, fear, and even attacks on your practice...and I don’t want anyone else to feel alone in that journey. Whether you’re a provider trying to build a board-proof clinic, or a patient trying to take charge of your health, I’m here to help you cut through the noise, gain clarity, and find a blueprint that works.

Begin your journey to clarity and confidence!
